| Bharatpur
Wild life Sanctuary : One of the
finest bird parks in the world and a fantasy
of feathers. It is the kingdom of birds, where
time takes wing. Bharatpur Bird Sanctuary
( Keoladeo Ghana National Park ) is a reserve
that offers protection to faunal species as
well. Nesting indigenous water- birds as well
as migratory water birds and waterside birds,
this sanctuary is also inhabited by Sambar,
Chital, Nilgai and Boar. |

Ranthambhore National
Park : A nearby
attraction of Sawai Madhopur, in the state
of Rajasthan, Ranthambore National Park is
an outstanding example of Project Tiger's
efforts at conservation in the India . |
| Sariska
Wildlife Sanctuary : It is another
very import wildlife destination in Rajasthan.
Sariska Wildlife Sanctuary, Probably the most
visited park in India, Sariska was also a
hunting reserve previously just like other
national parks in India. The reserve was declared
a wildlife sanctuary in 1958 and came under
the "Project Tiger" as a tiger reserve
in 1979. It is situated in the huge and thickly
wooded reserve cradled in the picturesque
valley of the Aravali. The park is noted for
its population of rare breed of tigers, leopard,
sambhar, nilgai, wild dog, and chinkaras.

| Darrah
Sanctuary : It is a thickly forested
sanctuary lying along the southeastern border
of Kota . Darrah Sanctuary is an erstwhile
royal hunting preserve of the Maharaja of
Kota. This hilly sanctuary with thick forests
is worth a visit. The animals here include
Sloth Bear, Wolf, Leopard and Chinkara. This
sanctuary is stretched in the area of 250
sq Kms, almost 50 Kms from Kota . The best
time to visit is between February and May.

| Kumbhalgarh
Sanctuary : It is located in the
most rugged of the Aravali in Pali, Rajsamand
and Udaipur districts of Rajasthan. It takes
name after the impressive historic fort of
Kumbhalgarh, which come into view over the
Park. It is 578 sq Kms in area and at an altitude
of 500 to 1,300m. It is home to a very large
variety of wild life, some of which are highly
endangered species. The wild life includes
leopards, sloth bear, wolf, hyena, nilgai,
jackal, jungle cat, chaisingh (the four horned
antelope), smabhar, chinkara and hare. |
| Jaisamand
Sanctuary : This sanctuary is located
beside the man-made lake of the same name
in 1957. Covering a total area of 160 sq km,
it harbours sloth bear, leopard, chital, chinkara,
wild boar and a number of birds. Some crocodiles
and fish can also be spotted here. Best time
to visit is between November and January.
