Lonavala. Lonavala
- One of the most popular getaways
from Mumbai and Pune, Lonavala is a
beautiful hill station in Maharshtra,
also known as the jewel of the Sahyadri
Mountains. It Is situated on a hieght
of 625 mtrs. above sea level and is
a popular gateway from Mumbai and Pune.
Saputara - This is a famous
hill station, located at an altitude
of 873 m above the sea level on a plateau
in the Dang forest area of the Sahyadri
range. 'Saputara' means the 'abode of
serpents' and a snake image on the banks
of the river Sarpagana is worshipped
by the 'adivasis' (tribals) on festivals

20 km from the famous city Kolhapur.
