01: Arrive Cochin - Arrive Cochin -
the palm green, commercial captial of Kerala
is known as the "Queen of the Arabian
Sea". Transfer to hotel and relax. Afternoon
sightseeing tour of Cochin including The Dutch
Palace at Mattancherry is renowned for its
wall murals depicting scenes from the Ramayana.
The Jewish Synagogue at the heart of what
is locally called the Jew Town. Also visit
the St. Francis Church, the oldest European
church in India. The Chinese fishing nets
are huge cantilevered fishing nets believed
to have brought to Kochi by Chinese traders.
Finally, the Willingdon Island, named after
Lord Willingdon, is the headquarters of the
Southern Naval Command of India. Return to
the hotel for dinner and overnight stay. |
Day
02: Cochin-Periyar - After breakfast,
drive to Periyar that lies in the shade of
Cardamom hills & is a beautiful area of
tranquil winding roads, tea gardens, rubber
estates & spice plantations. On arrive
in Periyar transfer to hotel. Rest of the
day free for walk around in the peaceful town
known for various Spice and coffee plantations.
In the evening, enjoy boat safari in the lake
Periyar in the National Park. Return to the
hotel for dinner and overnight stay. |

03: Periyar - Morning go for boat
cruise in the lake to watch wild animals.
Afternoon visit spice plantations like cardamom,
pepper, tea etc. Learn a few simple and easy
to make Kerala Dishes. Return to the hotel
for dinner and overnight stay. |

04: Periyar- Munnar – In the
morning, after relish you breakfast, drive
to Munnar - the famous hill station of Kerala,
which is situated near the Anaimudi Peak,
the highest peak in the Western Ghats. On
arrive Munnar transfer to hotel and relax.
Day is free for your personal activities and
walk around. Return to your hotel for dinner
and overnight stay. |

05: Munnar- Kumarakom – After
breakfast drive to Kumarakom on the banks
of Lake Vembanad and hop on to a boat to Coconut
Lagoon, an eco-friendly resort created out
of Old Keralan Homes called - THARAWAD. On
arrive in Kumarakom check into your resort.
Rest of the day at leisure to explore the
environs. Overnight stay at the hotel. |

06: Kumarakom- Alleppey – In
the morning, after breakfast, take a cruise
for a farm visit and if lucky, watch the locals
fishing. Mid afternoon, live hands on lessons
on preparing few Kerala Seafood dishes. Afternoon
board a House Boat and cruise through the
scenic backwaters towards Alleppey. Overnight
stay on Board. |

07: Alleppey – Morning on arrival
in Alleppey, you will be taken aboard your
floating houseboat, a different boat with
a bedroom and en-suite rest room for your
comfort. Enjoy a cruise on the backwater through
a maze of canals and lagoons and enjoy freshly
caught fresh water fish cooked to your taste
on board. Spend the night on board the houseboat. |

08: Alleppey-Trivandrum - Morning
board your transport for an interesting drive
to Trivandrum. Afternoon sightseeing tour
of Trivandrum, visiting the ancient temple
of Sri Padmanabhaswamy is one of the major
attractions in the city of Thiruvananthapuram.
Beach, Kerala Holiday VacationNapier Museum
was built in 1880 and shows a harmonious blending
of Kerala, Mughal, Chinese and Italian architectural
styles. Also visit the Vivekananda Memorial
which is built about 400 meter offshore. |
