a peaceful sea side resort where the sea recede
and proceed 5 km everyday. The quiet and serene
beach charms visitors. Extending 5 km from
the shore this shallow-water beach has a speciality;
during ebb tide cars ride over the sands.
You can do it yourself and reach Burhibalam
or even further. As at Puri here too visitors
get absorbed in picking shells from sands.
The views of both sunrise and moonrise are
enchanting here.
Chandipur is 16 km away from Balasore. Backed
up by the sensational sway of casuarinas trees
and creepered sand-dunes, the waters at Chandipur
Beach (16km from Balasore) are like molten
gold under the sunlit sky. If you're bored
with reveling in the waters, you can hitch
a ride with the local fishermen's boats and
trawl the limpid waters for your supper all
the way up to the mouth of the river Budhabalanga.
