Bhakti
yoga is the Hindu term for the spiritual practice
of fostering of loving devotion to God, called
bhakti and the term of Bhakti comes from the
root 'Bhaj', which means 'to be attached to
God'. Generally Bhakti yoga is considered
the easiest of the four general paths to liberation,
or moksha (the others being Karma, Raja, or
Jnana Yoga). Bhakti is the slender thread
of Prem or love that binds the heart of a
devotee with the lotus feet of the Lord and
it is intense devotion and supreme attachment
to God. In short, Bhakti is supreme love for
God.
There is various kinds of Bhakti. One classification
is Sakamya and Nishkamya Bhakti. Sakamya
Bhakti is devotion with desire for material
gains while a man wants wealth with this
motive practices Bhakti is Sakamya Bhakti.
Whatever you want the Lord will certainly
give you, if your prayers are sincerely
offered from the bottom of your heart and
if your Bhakti is intense. But you will
not get supreme satisfaction, Moksha and
immortality through Sakamya Bhakti. Instead
of, God has already given you good position,
good family, wife, children, good job and
peaceful life. So your Bhakti should always
be Nishkamya Bhakti. Your heart will be
purified and the Divine Grace will descend
upon you through Nishkamya Bhakti. Honestly,
Be in communion with the Lord, you will
become one with the Lord and you will enjoy
all the Divine Aisvaryas (Divine attributes
like wisdom, renunciation, power, etc.).
All the Vibhutis (Special forms in which
the Lord manifests) of the Lord He will
give you. He will give you Darsan and will
help you to dwell in Him and at the same
time He will give you all the Divine Aisvaryas
also.
The fact of that, when you practice Bhakti
Yoga Knowledge or wisdom will dawn by itself.
Bhakti is the smooth, pleasant and direct
road reach to the God. Bhakti is sweet in
the beginning, sweet in the middle and sweet
in the end and gives the highest, undecaying
bliss.
