| Baga
beach, located about 29 km away from
Panaji, the capital of Goa. Baga is
situated on the north end of Calangute,
carpeted with clean brown sand. Caressed
by turquoise blue waves, Baga is a better
option for those wishing to enjoy some
restful moments if the hustle and bustle
of Calangute is not in their list of
things. It is a fishing beach with international
tourists marinating in the sun and domestic
visitors paddling. There is the grove
of palms that comes fairly close to
the water's edge. Apart from this, Baga
beach is connected to Calangute beach
by a 3km long road. This road is lined
with hotels and guesthouses that offer
the tourists a comfortable stay. |

| A small fishing
seashore lined with thickets of shady
palm trees that provides a stunning
view against the playful sea waves,
Baga Beach is secluded enough to gain
popularity among the topless sunbathers,
though it is not among the famous 'nude'
beaches.Baga is actually an extension
of Calangute beach, with the exception
of being crowded, precipitous and rendered
unsafe by perilous undercurrents. |
